Walsham le Willows WI is arranging a visit to Norwich Theatre Royal to see Calendar Girls the Musical on Saturday 16th February 2019.  Box Office booking opened in May and tickets are selling well.  WI is happy to open this up to anyone else who would like to go, not just WI members.

Leaving Walsham 9.30 on the day for shopping before the matinee at 2.30. A number of circle seats have been reserved, some with a wider leg room option for anyone who would like them.

Calendar Girls, The Musical

Cost is £40 per seat or £44 for the roomier option.  Cost of coach will be divided amongst those attending.  No profits will be made on this.

It’s possible that there may be some seats on the coach  just for shopping! TBA via Observer once numbers are known.

Cathedral Choir Comes To Country Church!

handwritten 'for your diary' logoThe nationally renowned Wallingford Parish Church Choir regularly stand in at St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and St Georges Chapel, Windsor. We are excited to offer you a unique opportunity to hear them in the intimate setting of St. Mary’s Church Walsham-le-Willows.

The concert will be on Saturday April 7th at 7.30pm. Entrance is free. There will be a retiring collection with all profits to St Mary’s Church.

There will also be a Sung Eucharist on Sunday April 8th 11.00am.

Mark Lane, Head Gardener Buckingham Palace coming to Walsham

On Saturday 16th September at  2.30pm the Head Gardener, of Buckingham Palace, Mark Lane , will give a talk at the Memorial Hall about the Palace Gardens.

He will cover the history of the site, key features, horticultural practices with particular mention of some interesting specimens that thrive in the gardens.  See the events diary for more details.

Tour of Britain passes through Walsham

On Friday 8 September 2017 Walsham welcomes the Tour of Britain!

Stage Six of Britain’s premier road cycling race will take place entirely within Suffolk, starting in Newmarket at 10.45am and finishing in Aldeburgh.

Based on current estimated timings the race will arrive here in Walsham at 12 noon

You’ll be able to see some of the world’s top cyclists weaving their way through our village, so please line The Street and Finningham Road and wave your flags as they speed past!

Music for Another Summer Evening

image of wind octet intrumentsFor your diary, The Churchgate Wind Octet and vocal group return to St. Mary’s, Walsham-le-Willows at 7.30pm on Saturday 15th July.

Last year they delighted us with a perfectly paced and varied programme and we hope their concert will become a regular summer fixture.

Come and enjoy a glass of wine and St.Mary’s in its summer finery as you listen to these accomplished musicians.

Tickets £5 on the door which includes a glass of wine.

All profits go to St. Mary’s Church.
