Start: St David’s (9.20am)Image bright sunny day, blue sky, looking down a winding road to newgale strand and the sea
Distance: 62.7 miles
Ave Speed: 10.5 mph
Total Distance: 1696.4 miles
Finish: Llandysul (6.05 pm)
Bike Time: 5h 57min
Max Speed: 30.5 mph
Total Time: 158h 57min

Quick re-route so as to follow the coast road to Newgale and then head inland to Haycastle. Unfortunately this new route took me, in the end over the Preseli Mountains, but the view was great, the wind blew hard – in the right direction – and the descent was long and fast.

The day ended with a long tour of the area round Newcastle Emlyn, as I had failed to bring the instructions. However the kindness of strangers once again manifested itself.

The other silver lining was the partner of the lady who runs the B&B knows about organs!! Oh yes I was taken to the Chinese Chipper to get some supper!! All-in-all, a good day in the end.

Walsham would not be the same without the village church and the regular sound of the church bells.
If you would like to sponsor this act of pedalling lunacy, taking in a number of Cathedrals in England Wales and Scotland whilst covering a distance of some 2,500 miles, then please complete the sponsor form
