The village has had a Bowls Club in the centre of the village since 1970, it has always been a thriving club and in the year 1990 the bowls club merged with the Sports Club, which enabled it to improve its facilities, i.e. with the new pavilion etc. As with other sections they have won various leagues and cups in the Bury & District and Stowmarket Leagues. They also won the Suffolk County Junior Cup in 1996 and 2001. Various members have won individual competitions in leagues and also County competitions. The club has also had members represent the County in both the ladies and gents sections. For further information on the Bowls Section please contact the Chairman Mr. Albert Largent on 01359 259522.
