Badminton

This sport is rather a one-off with regards to it’s relationship with Walsham, this being the only one that is played here purely for exercise and ‘fun’!

Kick Boxing

This is a relatively new sport here in Walsham and we are extremely lucky to have a very experienced and well qualified instructor in the shape of Peter Dunnett, a 4th DAN BLACK BELT, more details will be found under this heading.

Sports Club

Walsham Sports Club

The Sports Club is, as it’s name implies, a club covering a large number of sporting activities all of which are detailed under their various headings, and it also has a very strong social side, not only catering for the playing members but also for those who have now "hung up their boots."

Bowls

This heading will tell you about this popular sport.

Cricket

Cricket follows just behind football in it’s popularity again within the country and here at Walsham and you can see more of their aclievements under the Cricket heading.

Darts

Although this section is not as popular as the two main out-door sports it has a strong body of local supporters which includes members of both sexes and it can be enjoyed by all members of our community including those who no longer have the energy to spend their time chasing a ball around a field!

Football

As this is the most popular sport in this country this is also reflected here in Walsham as it is the strongest section within the Sports Club. Details of the teams and their accomplishments are detailed under the the Football heading.

Snooker / Billiards

Another popular indoor sport which is open to all ages and to both sexes and, as you will see under it’s appropriate heading this is yet another activity that has grown in popularity over the last few years.

Table Tennis

This section has many attributes of the other indoor sports but it does tend to be more of a younger persons sport as it is certainly much more strenous than either Darts or Snooker! For more detail go to the appropriate heading.
